When Indigo is used in conjunction with henna is it can give shades of different browns to black. The resulting colour depends on the method, how long you leave it on for and the proportion of henna and indigo used. Indigo is a blue plant and will give a blue/green tint if used alone on light coloured - grey or light blonde hair. Directions Mix the indigo powder with water to form a paste, apply the paste to the hair, leave it on for a certain amount of time, and then rinse it out.
