The Defender E203030 3.3kVA 230V 16A Step Up Transformer allows compatible 230V to 240V equipment to be operated from a 110V electrical supply.

Designed for professional construction and temporary site applications, it provides a practical solution for tradesmen who need to use 230V tools in working areas supplied by a 110V circuit.

The transformer accepts a 110V AC, 50Hz input and delivers a 230V to 240V AC, 50Hz or 60Hz output through two covered 16A sockets.

This twin-socket configuration provides connections for compatible industrial power tools, site lighting and other 230V equipment within the transformer’s rated capacity.

By stepping the available supply up from 110V to 230V, the transformer can reduce the need to keep separate versions of the same tools for different electrical supplies.

The unit has a maximum intermittent output of 3.3kVA and a continuous rated output of 1.65kVA, providing capacity for a range of professional equipment.

When working at its maximum intermittent rating, the transformer operates on a duty cycle of five minutes on followed by fifteen minutes off.
