The Dewalt DWS5059-XJ 1.5m Plunge Saw Guide Rail is a professional cutting accessory designed to deliver smooth, accurate and repeatable straight cuts when used with compatible DEWALT plunge saws and rail-compatible circular saws.

Measuring 1.5 metres in length, it provides ample guidance for cutting sheet materials, timber, cabinetry components and other workpieces where accuracy and a clean finish are essential.

Manufactured from extruded aluminium, the DWS5059-XJ combines rigidity with portability, making it suitable for both workshop and site use. Its dual-edge design allows straight cutting in both directions, while anti-splinter edge strips are positioned along both sides of the track to help minimise tear-out and produce a cleaner edge on the workpiece.

For smooth, controlled operation, low-friction strips on the upper surface help the saw travel freely along the guide during the cutting pass. High-friction strips underneath the rail provide additional grip against the workpiece, helping the guide remain stable while also protecting the working surface.

The rail also incorporates an edge protector designed to reduce deformation of the rail edges and minimise snagging from the saw's cable or extraction hose.

For larger projects, the modular design allows two compatible guide rails to be accurately connected using a suitable joining bar.
