Festool AS-KS 120-R/L Multifunctional Stop

The Festool AS-KS 120-R/L Multifunctional Stop is a versatile professional accessory designed to expand the capabilities of the Festool KAPEX KS 120 sliding compound mitre saw.

Developed to improve safety, accuracy and efficiency when cutting everything from small sections and narrow strips to cornices and decorative mouldings, it provides secure workpiece support while reducing the need for time consuming manual clamping.

An integrated hold down function securely retains the workpiece during cutting, helping prevent material kickbacks while still allowing the material to be moved beneath the stop and accurately aligned with the cutting mark.

The clamp can be fitted in two different positions to improve workpiece stability, providing greater control when handling different materials and dimensions.

For clean, professional results, movable splinter guard rails provide secure material support close to the saw blade. The Zero Clearance design helps produce tear free cuts on the exit side while also providing a useful scribe line.

This close support is particularly beneficial when cutting small sections that could otherwise prove difficult to position securely.

The height adjustable aluminium profile makes the AS-KS 120-R/L especially useful for accurately processing crown mouldings and stucco profiles. Mouldings up to 168mm can be positioned in their original wall orientation, allowing professionals to achieve precise cuts without complicated positioning. A built in scale assists with accurate adjustment to the required workpiece height.

Versatility extends further through the sliding aluminium profile, which can also function as a length stop for repeat cuts. When combined with the optional MFT/3-AR stop rider, workpieces can be repeatedly cut to precise dimensions, making the system particularly useful for production style tasks involving multiple identical components. The profile can additionally serve as a side insert for groove cutting or as a spacer.

Setup is quick and straightforward, with the splinter guard strip and contact plate attaching without tools. The reversible aluminium profile can securely position narrow strips, while removing the splinter guard and contact plate provides a special trimming position for tall workpieces, including mitre applications.
