KNIPEX 49 11 A2 180mm Precision Circlip Pliers

The KNIPEX 49 11 A2 180mm Precision Circlip Pliers are designed for installing and removing external circlips on shafts, giving professional users the control and accuracy needed for repeated assembly and maintenance work.

Suitable for shaft diameters from 19-60mm, the pliers feature straight 1.8mm tips manufactured from high-density spring steel wire. These tips are positively inserted into the pliers using a cold-forming and compression process for excellent stability and a long service life.

Designed for demanding continuous use, the inserted tips can provide up to 10 times longer service life than conventional turned tips. Large contact surfaces behind the tips provide a secure grip on the circlip while helping to prevent distortion during installation and removal.

An integrated overexpansion guard helps prevent circlips from being opened beyond their intended range, giving you greater control when working with delicate or accurately sized components.

The precision bolted joint provides smooth, zero-backlash movement, while the internal opening spring is protected and captive inside the joint. This keeps the spring out of the way during use while reducing the chance of dirt affecting its operation.

Manufactured from forged, oil-hardened chrome vanadium electric steel, the pliers combine excellent strength with a slim head design for improved access in confined areas. Non-slip plastic-coated handles provide a comfortable and secure grip throughout the working day.
