KNIPEX 74 01 160 160mm High Leverage Diagonal Cutter

The KNIPEX 74 01 160 160mm High Leverage Diagonal Cutter is a compact, powerful cutter designed for tough, continuous use across electrical, construction, automotive and general maintenance work.

Its high leverage design carefully coordinates the cutting edge angle, joint and handle geometry to deliver excellent cutting performance with less effort. Compared with conventional diagonal cutters of the same length, the design can provide around a 20% saving in the force required when cutting hard wire.

Precision cutting edges allow the tool to handle a wide range of wire types, including medium-hard wire up to 3.4mm, hard wire up to 2.5mm and piano wire up to 2.0mm.

The cutting edges are additionally induction hardened to approximately 64 HRC, helping them maintain their performance through demanding and repeated cutting applications.

Manufactured from forged chrome vanadium electric steel and oil hardened in multiple stages, the cutter combines excellent strength with a low weight of just 178g. The forged joint axle further improves stability when tackling tougher materials.

At just 160mm long, the cutter is compact enough for everyday tool bags while still delivering serious cutting performance. Non-slip plastic-coated handles provide a secure grip and comfortable control throughout the working day.
