KNIPEX 95 11 225 StepCut XL 225mm Cable Shears

The KNIPEX StepCut XL Cable Shears are heavy-duty cable cutters designed to make light work of large copper and aluminium cables while remaining compact enough for comfortable one or two-handed use.

Combining long handles, an optimised transmission ratio and a high-leverage bolted joint, the StepCut XL delivers impressive cutting force without requiring the size and weight of a traditional ratchet cable cutter.

The dual cutting areas help you tackle a wide range of cable sizes. The stepped cutting edge holds smaller and larger cables close to the joint, helping prevent them slipping out while putting the cable in the optimum position for an easier cut.

For particularly large cables, the front cutting edge acts as a nibbling point, allowing you to gradually work through the cable in several controlled cuts while maintaining a comfortable handle position.

These 225mm cable shears can cut solid copper or aluminium cable up to 35mm², stranded cable up to 70mm² and fine-stranded cable up to 120mm², making them ideal for demanding electrical, construction and industrial applications.

An adjustable high-leverage bolted joint provides smooth, precise movement, while the slim head improves accessibility when working in tighter spaces. A built-in pinch guard also helps prevent your fingers becoming trapped between the handles during use.

The cutting edges are additionally laser hardened to approximately 56 HRC for long-lasting cutting performance, while the plastic-coated handles provide a straightforward and comfortable grip.

Please note that these cable shears are not designed for cutting steel-reinforced cables such as ACSR.
