The Makita DG002GZ 40V XGT Brushless Earth Auger is a powerful cordless solution for drilling holes into the ground, making it ideal for landscaping, fencing and other demanding groundworks.

Powered by the Makita 40V XGT platform, the auger combines a high-performance brushless motor with up to 136Nm of torque to deliver the power needed to tackle demanding soil conditions.

Two mechanical speed settings allow you to match the performance to the application. Low gear delivers 0-400rpm with up to 136Nm of torque, while high gear reaches up to 1500rpm with 55Nm for faster drilling.

Makita's Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) automatically adjusts speed and torque while working to maintain optimum performance as the resistance of the ground changes.

The DG002G can drill holes up to 150mm in high-resistance soil and up to 200mm in lower-resistance soil, giving you plenty of capacity for a wide range of groundwork applications.

The spindle design allows the auger bit to be attached directly to the tool for a secure connection. A reverse function also helps release the auger if it becomes jammed in compacted or resistant ground.

For improved control, the built-in torque limiter helps protect the gearing if the auger binds, while soft start provides smoother initial operation and the electric brake brings the tool to a quick stop.

Twin LED work lights with pre-glow and afterglow functions illuminate the drilling area, helping improve visibility when working in poor light.
